Wow. It sure has been a while, no? Please believe me when I say it's all worth the waiting. Boy do I have TONS to tell!
First, I resigned. Yes I sure did! Most of the credits go to my dearest hubby who encouraged me, even when I hadn't got any successful offers yet. So I did. I resigned, I've been staying at home, and I'm enjoying this! I'm freelancing, so doing layouts is still on the menu.
Being stay-at-home-wife isn't as bad as I thought. I stressed out for a week at first, worrying about grown-up matters like income, self-worth and stuff, but by the end of the week enjoyment came marching in!
I'm enjoying my unemployment, and I'm still finding out what I should do next. I'm not sure I want to do advertising again, I'm looking for a different thing this time. I've always been into illustration, so I'm starting to draw again. It turns out I'm not as good as I thought though, but it's too early to call it quit. Oh and Dick Bruna really inspires me.
Secondly, Marco van Basten resigned. Shockingly unbelievable! The title did slip from Ajax's grasp, everybody was raving about his incompetence, but nobody saw this coming I think. He walked away a few days after the brutal and fatal loss from PSV and therefore missed the last game of the 08/09 season-which Ajax won under Schippie. I felt kinda sorry for him but after reading a post saying he was playing golf and dined with some of AC Milan's big guys last Sunday, my sympathy turns into a slight disgust. He's a strategist for God's sake! I bet there's always something behind his actions, something more than a mere responsibleness, guilt or other intangible b.s..
oh the drama!
Third, my husband & I are purchasing a house-again! We're very confident about this one, the process feels so..right, and professional. We're still paying the downpayment, if everything's going smooth we can move in around September. Yaay!
